In a nutshell, it's it's superior in everyway possible minus graphics (and close enough).This particular installation prompts you for every single step of the way, during installation so you can't walk away during install. I play just about every FPS out there, most of which are newer but I do have to say that at the end of the day, I keep coming back to Battlefield 2. Also, installiing the expansion packs are hit or miss.I bought this set because I thought I could install the game a whole lot faster, and I format somewhat regularly for various reasons. Sure the graphics aren't up-to-date, but the gameplay is still top notch.This is without a doubt the best of the Battlefield series. 1942 is also very good, but it's quite a bit older, and 2 is everything 1942 was with better graphics.If you are undecided between 2 and 2142, or found 2142 to be a mildly enjoyable game, then pick yourself up a copy of 2. As it turns out, I can install the Deluxe Edition (BF2, Special Forces) and download and install Armored Fury and Euro Forces in much less time, and I have no problems adding either of the booster packs to my account that way. I'd suggest to anyone who formats over once a year to do the same.
This is a great game however, not like the usual FPS. The next Battlefield will more like what we are used to in FPS games. Still a great game once you get used to it.
The game is great but some times hackers are getting too annoying.EA games has release a new patch that should get rid off hacks but it's still in BETA but looking forward for my 3rd year of playing this game.
